Philodendron Tortum, also known as Fernleaf philodendron has deeply loved leaves giving it a ferny appearance. The lacy texture stands out from a lot of other common philodendrons. Also the new leaves emerge a copper orange color. They slowly unfurl, showing off an other-worldly appearance. This plant is hard to find and loved by plant collectors. It is easy to grow making it good for beginners and experienced plant parents alike. It can eventually climb 6 feet or more if left unpruned. Give bright indirect sunlight and take care to not over water as they like to be a little drier rather than too wet. In fact, Tortum can go two weeks without water so be sure to check it weekly and water it when the top 2 inches of soil dry out. It might need support eventually, such as a totem pole to climb. Enjoy a new Philodendron Tortum today!
