The Izima Planter by NIKO FAR WEST is made from a terracotta base with a clear glaze inside. This way your plant doesn't have to share its water with the the planter! The outside has a beautiful matte and black glaze, great for neutral interior environments.
Water tight with a drainage hole, each one is hand carved and glazed to perfection. 8" in diameter, these are great for plants in 6"-7" nursery pots. Each one is unique and comes with a coordinating handmade ceramic drainage plate.
About the artist: NIKO FAR WEST is a one-woman operation run by artist Nicky Kriara in Portland, Oregon. She is a Portland native with a multimedia arts background and a BFA in Ceramics. Before starting NIKO in 2016, she worked in the field of stop-motion animation, ran a small art gallery, and created large paintings and sculpture installations. This small batch studio focuses mainly on decorative planters using a combination of slip-casting, sgraffito, and experimental techniques.
