Calatheas Ornata aka Pinstripe Plant - has beautiful tri colored leaves with pinstripes.
Calathea Ornata is a bit finicky. But follow some easy instructions and she will thrive.
Considerations: She is location sensitive, so once you land on a location for her, stick to it. She doesn't like drastic changes in environment. She is sensitive to environmental stress, and sometimes gets occasional brown edges or spotting on leaves. High humidity and persistent watering will help this plant thrive.
Light: Bright light with no direct sunrays. Well lit but slightly out of the window is perfect.
Water: Prefers filtered water, so leave the water out a day before you draw it from the tap. Water when the top 1" feels dry. Humidifier a plus to maintain consistent humidity. And the occassional misting during the summer keeps her feeling cool.
Light: She does extremely well in bright conditions without the need for direct sunlight. Find a well lit spot to seat your Reina.
Water: Water when the top 1" of soil feels dry, but don't let her dry all the way out. Ensuring that the air is not too dry will allow the leaves to thrive, therefore using humidifiers or pebble trays can help to maintain levels of humidity. Misting the leaves daily during summer is also advised.
